Lamentation

Iniquity was I born in;
For in one man we all did sin.
As death did reign in Adam’s fall
So death was passed upon us all.

I from my birth did go astray,
For sin did reign from day to day.
My mouth was ever speaking lies:
All that was good I did despise.

The Lord looks on the man that sins,
To search the heart that lies within.
There is no good for Him to see;
O, wretched man, God hateth thee.

The wages of my sin is death,
And one day I’ll draw my last breath.
Then God will tell me from His throne,
The Lake of Fire is your new home.

Forever more will I be there,
In torment that’s too much to bear;
And ever knowing that my sin
Has brought me to this place I’m in.

The Lord looks on the man that sins,
To search the heart that lies within.
There is no good for Him to see;
O, wretched man, God hateth thee.
